Hey Backers,Thank you for the input on the prior post, it has given me a good amount to think about in how to best present the GM info for you guys
I am currently leaning towards showing all the information and providing pointers and points on what/how to create narrative gaps for your players.
This update is to just let you all know that we had just started a Newsletter (which should be in your inbox now, probably in the promotions tab if you use Gmail).
Why did we move to Newsletters?
We decided to make the move to reduce the number of repetitive kickstarter updates we do. This means you're only getting emails for things that are important to that related Kickstarter.
How often will these Newsletters post?
We plan on shipping at least one newsletter per month.
What's going to be in the Newsletter?
Essentially we would be collapsing all of our project developments, updates and other news and compiling them into this newsletter. So whether we've started developing a new Baby Bestiary project, received new awards, or attending conventions we can keep all of you in the loop.
If you have any questions feel free to ask, in addition if you don't want to recieve the newsletter feel free to email us at

Holiday Update

Hey Backers,
I just wanted to check in with you all and let you know how progress is going. Unfortunately, writing is a little behind but I kind of expected this running into the holiday season. Fortunately, everybody is clear to continue after the new year. (of which I am also clear of my Baby Bestiary responsibilities to focus on Embers, so we'll catch up there.
In the Art Department, things have been going phenomenal and amazing!! Vincent has been producing masterpiece after masterpiece and we only have 3 pieces left until he has colored all the work he has started. Below are two of my favorite colors of the batch :)
Enjoy the art and I can't wait to see the book when we finish.
To an better new year and a happy holiday for everyone!!

we should be migrating you guys into backerkit this week (I'm double checking everything today, and then have to wait for backerkit to approve the setup before import.
Just these past few days I've been at Metatopia (essentially a playtest convention) and attending several of the panels gave me some ideas of how to improve Embers (mostly lore-y bits such as better integrating economic factors and such).
Thats all for now,
I'll do a brief post when the surveys get launched (of which then we can collect everything).

Funded!! & Next Steps

Huzzah!!
We are at last fully funded and have knocked out a few stretch goals as well!!
I can't thank you all for help making this book a reality, and we will make it a marvelous and beautiful book,
I will continue to stream design work so you guys can get a look under the hood.
And finally I'll get together with the writing team to start getting writing assignments divy'd up.
Next Steps - Payment Processing (please read)
First off, we'll have to wait for kickstarter/stripe process all the payments (it should come from Name Metal Weave Games/Designs, pardon if it says for NonPlayerCards, I may not have updated it in time).
Next Steps - Backerkit
Once funds transfer (takes about three weeks), we can launch backerkit for embers (i'll set up a portal for those who missed the project). There you'll be able to pick which systems you want your Compantions to come in, upgrade your pledge and so forth.
